Okay, to get what's truly stupid about this post, it helps to have seen 9 1/2 Weeks. True, 1986 was 20 years ago, but I'd still say it was in the "modern day." If I were to meet a girl in Japan, I wouldn't call it a "Modern day Lost in Translation."
Besides that, I like the unawkward intro. Do you get it? Do you understand? Like maybe he's trying to reveal some deep truth to me that isn't apparent at first. Except, instead of profound insight on the universe, it's a reference to a cable porn from 1986. Same difference.
I guess I am sick of [the] status quo, but he's not sick of crappy movie references. Onto Sweet November (he forgot the first word of this movie title). "I wish to go out with guns blazing" this man writes, perhaps suggesting he's dying soon (like Charlize Theron in Sweet November??). If that's true, then this post is just sad. But I don't think he's dying soon. I think he's just a bad writer (which is almost as bad).
The author here is unable to "long" anymore (? can he short? will he just lose desire altogether? a buddhist would argue that that's not such a bad outcome)
Lastly, this type A personality is looking for an Alpha Female. I don't think this guy understands how types work. Ideally there's an A and B, like a Yin and a Yang or a plus and a minus. If you're a type A and you meet a type A, you end up fighting instead of loving, like a modern day Bill and Hillary.
