If you're unfamiliar with the Disney original, let me give you a synopsis (a "recap") so that you can understand the subtle character and plot development of this CL post. In Sleeping Beauty I, a beautiful princess is put to sleep by an evil witch and can only be brought back to life by the kiss of a handsome and courageous prince. But the classic fairy tale left so many unanswered questions, not the least among them was, "What would happen if, instead of kissing the princess, the prince were to have kissed her poo poo?"
Almost 50 years later, the long awaited sequel was released. Not in theaters, however, but in Craigslist form.
In this timeless variation on the classic theme of love triumphant over evil, the princess is not yet asleep. Instead, before she calls it a night, she needs her poo poo licked. Instead of her one true prince, the licking can be performed by anyone, so long as "you tall, slim and sexy."
What makes this post truly great is that after twenty-eight long words (this is if you count poo poo as two separate words), the author is gracious enough to offer a re-cap for those people who
a) were confused by the 28 long words earlier in the post or
b) who just got internet access a second ago and had missed the beginning of the post or
c) who had licked so many poo poos that their short term memory isn't so good or
d) who had licked so many poo poos that their short term memory isn't so good
what's interesting about the recap is the important role of the "holla." It seemed minor and inconsequential in the original 28 words, but since it occupies a full third of the recap, it may play a pivotal role in sleeping beauty III.
